Alliance of Women Against Radicalisation and Extremism<\/a> (AWARE) addresses the European fight against extremism by focusing on the role of women. Much of their work addresses the impact that ISIS and AQ have upon one another as well as extremism\u2019s impact on regional issues in MENA.<\/p>\n Families Against Terrorism and Extremism<\/a> (FATE) supplies resources to families, teachers, and organizations looking to combat extremism within their communities. They sponsor events<\/a>, run CVE campaigns, and create content<\/a> for others to share.<\/p>\n The Foundation for Defense of Democracies<\/a> (FDD) is a\u00a0non-profit, non-partisan policy institute focusing on foreign policy and national security and combines policy research, democracy and counterterrorism education, strategic communications and investigative journalism in support of its mission to promote pluralism, defend democratic values and fight the ideologies that drive terrorism.<\/p>\n The Institute for Economics and Peace<\/a> (IEP) is “an independent, non-partisan, non-profit\u00a0think tank dedicated to shifting the world\u2019s focus to peace as a positive, achievable, and\u00a0tangible measure of human well-being and progress.” The IEP provides a great deal of analysis (much of it quantitative in nature) on a host of problems around the world.<\/p>\n The Institute for Strategic Dialogue<\/a> is known for their valuable research on recruitment and counter-messaging. Their research includes several pieces on ISIS\u2019s female recruitment as well as pilot research on former extremists engaging directly with individuals suspected of radicalization. It has valuable resources for those seeking counter-extremism content on their spin-off resource Extreme Dialogue<\/a>. They also offer a Counter-Narrative Monitoring and Evaluation Handbook<\/a> for those looking to begin or improve their own counter-narrative campaign.<\/p>\n The Institute for the Study of War<\/a> (ISW) is a public policy think tank that is\u00a0“committed to improving the nation\u2019s ability to execute military operations and respond to emerging threats in order to achieve U.S. strategic objectives.” Provides frequent daily reports on the changing situation in Iraq and Syria.<\/p>\n International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence<\/a> (ICSR) is a research organization based out of King\u2019s College in London. They focus broadly on radicalization and political violence, having done extensive research in areas such as Jihadist Media Strategy<\/a>, Countering Terrorist Financing<\/a>, De-Radicalization<\/a>, and Europe\u2019s New Far Right<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jihadology<\/a>\u00a0serves as a clearinghouse for jihadist primary source materials, including translations into English and some original analysis.<\/p>\n Life After Hate<\/a> is a non-profit founded by former members of America\u2019s violent far right movement. They now offer support to people who wish to leave organizations and lives of violence and hate. Life After Hate also partners with organizations and communities to fight hate and racism at its root causes.<\/p>\n LiveUAMap<\/a> is a media platform that uses maps to depict real-time events in important areas of conflict. They have maps and information feeds specific to the Middle East<\/a>, the Syrian conflict<\/a>, and ISIS<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Middle Eastern Media Research Institute<\/a> (MEMRI) provides analysis and translations of media originally published in Arabic, Farsi, Urdu-Pashtu, Dari, and Turkish. While MEMRI has faced criticism for hardline pro-Israel stances and incomplete translations, it provides resources to English speakers that may not be available through other sites.<\/p>\n The Middle East Institute<\/a>‘s (MEI)\u00a0Countering Violent Transnational Movements project undertakes in-depth research and analysis into the region\u2019s varied terrorist threats and their underlying drivers, including civil conflict; and \u200bseeks \u200bto propose effective policy responses.<\/p>\n Quilliam Foundation<\/a> is a British think tank that challenges extremism and seeks to promote democracy pluralism in its place.<\/p>\n Government Organizations<\/b><\/p>\n The United Nations Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Committee<\/a> is tasked with “monitoring implementation of resolution 1373 (2001), which requested countries to implement a number of measures intended to enhance their legal and institutional ability to counter terrorist activities at home, in their regions and around the world.”<\/p>\n The Global Coalition<\/a> is the combined effort of the international community to defeat ISIS on the territorial battleground.
